Off-road diesel slipped for a third straight week. Fertilizer and parts, however, aren't following it down.

Off-road diesel prices fell for a third consecutive week, handing growers a small break just as harvest fuel demand ramps up. Analysts credit softer crude and healthy refinery output, though they caution the relief could be fragile if storm season disrupts Gulf Coast supply.
The better news at the pump hasn't carried over to the rest of the input budget. Fertilizer remains well above its long-run average, and shop owners report that parts pricing and lead times have barely improved from last year's crunch.
For most operations the math still favors getting equipment field-ready early. Dealers say the smartest move is locking in filters, belts, and wear parts now rather than gambling on a price dip that may not come before the combines roll.

Fuel's down a nickel, parts are up a fortune. Tells you where the squeeze really is.
