Mahindra is adding roughly 40 dealer locations across the US, concentrating on the South and Mountain West as it pushes to convert its value reputation into lasting market share. The expansion targets regions where buyers had to drive long distances for sales and service.

Dealer access has been the brand's persistent soft spot. Competitive pricing draws first-time buyers, but thin service coverage has historically pushed some shoppers back toward established names with a parts counter close to home.

Whether the new locations stick will hinge on parts availability and technician depth, not ribbon-cuttings. Mahindra says it's investing in both, and rural buyers in the expansion zones will be the ones to judge if the support matches the sales pitch.
